I received my new Fit-PC2 in the mail this morning, and it is even smaller than I thought it would be. I am going to document the setup/installation process here, so other Linux noobs can learn from this experience.
One of the reasons for buying the fit-PC is that it uses very little electricity. This is important because it will act as my main web server and therefore be turned on 24/7.

"The economic situation is apparently so grim that some experts fear we may be in for a stretch as bad as the mid seventies."
An interesting article by Paul Graham that talks about some of the benefits of starting a new company during an economic down turn when investors pull back.

Launchy 2.0 is a free windows utility that you can use to launch your
documents, project files, folders, programs, and bookmarks with just a
few keystrokes! This is similar to Quicksilver for the Mac.
Setup is easy, and it automatically learns your preferences over time.

This excellent little program brings the Apple or Beryl Cube effect to Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003, and Vista. Unfortunately, the program is no longer free, but I still like it.
For those Windows users who simply loooove Apple eye-candy, but who aren't ready to swap their Windows machine out with a Linux based machine yet, Yod'm 3D makes it possible to enjoy the same effect on a Windows machine.
